Senior Specialist, Cyber Risk Advisory & Assessment, Brampton, ON (1 Year Contract)

The Loblaw Technology Cyber Security practice continues to grow and we are seeking to hire passionate Cyber professionals who can provide expert level risk advisory/assessment and security consulting services to our business partners and information technology stakeholders. This client‑facing role will work closely with the Senior Manager of Cyber Risk Advisory and Assessment in support of our organization’s projects and third‑party engagements. The successful candidate can look forward to being a key contributor in assisting Loblaw navigate a rapidly modernizing technology landscape, help solve new and exciting cyber security challenges, while continually developing and honing high‑demand skills.

What You’ll Do
  • Collaborative and service‑driven partner management by maintaining strong and effective working relationships with IT Infrastructure, Operational Business Units, External/Internal Audit, Risk & Compliance, Privacy and Legal departments
  • Provide cyber risk advisory & consultation services to support the secure design and implementation of technology solutions, and support the ongoing security assurance of Loblaw IT systems and initiatives
  • Perform threat risk assessments and third‑party supplier risk assessments, SOC 2 type 2 reviews
  • Interpret business and technology requirements, review architecture diagrams and solution designs to identify potential security concerns and provide sound recommendations for risk remediation/management. Prepare risk reports with recommendations.
  • Work with various multi‑functional department to help foster a culture of security awareness, accountability/alignment to Enterprise Security Policies & Standards
What you Bring
  • Have or be in process of obtaining at least one of the following industry security certifications: CISSP, CRISC, CCSP, CISA, CISM
  • Demonstrated, expert‑level experience in Cyber Security, with extensive focus in cyber risk management consulting/advisory type roles.
  • Energy and passion for driving high quality deliverables and an interest in taking the initiative to provide innovative solutions
  • A collaborative nature, working with diverse teams, from business leaders to individual contributors and the ability to influence with a sense of urgency, accountability and ownership
  • Demonstrated deep technical written and verbal communication skills with the ability to clearly articulate ideas in a clear and concise manner while tailoring your messaging for varying audiences
