Salary Range: $82,108.00-$102,635.00-$128,294.00

Overview

BCLC’s two offices are located on the traditional, ancestral and unceded lands of the xʷməθkʷəy̓əm (Musqueam Indian Band), Sḵwx̱wú7mesh (Squamish), and səlilwətaɬ (Tsleil-Waututh) Peoples in Vancouver and the Tk’emlúps te Secwépemc territory, situated within the Secwépemc Nation in Kamloops. Our Operations Division manages both provincial & national lottery games as well as instant lotteries through over 3000 retail partners across the province. The division provides gaming technology and sets standards, policies and procedures across 37 casino properties in BC, ensuring a high standard of security and integrity.

We also provide online gambling through Playnow.com and our Lotto app, including lottery, sports betting, Bingo, Keno, online slots, or online casino games and Live Dealer table games where players can choose the online version of their favorite games while connecting with others across the province. Job Summary

The Senior Specialist, eGaming Business Development is responsible for developing and executing B2B sales strategies and providing operational oversight, while supporting changes in eGaming technology systems that drive growth and maximize revenue and profit through creative and innovative approaches for the eGaming division. This role leads, understands, and facilitates customer relationships, representing both BCLC and B2B needs in a mutually beneficial manner. The Senior Specialist will utilize knowledge of PlayNow’s product lines and vendor systems to guide management of the existing player base, based on a strategic understanding of customers’ unique business challenges.

Key Accountabilities
  • Maintains a strong understanding of current BCLC strategies in a multitude of areas including Marketing, Analytics, Product, CRM, Business Technologies and others in relation to B2B and Business Development partners and programs.
  • Develops and implements innovative solutions to achieve maximum financial results for the customer, ensuring all required work is executed to achieve broader organizational results, and brings creative, practical ideas to address growing challenges.
  • Liaises with internal BCLC areas to assist with management and direction of B2B and Business Development product and technology enhancements and projects, focusing on the needs of the final customer.
  • Acts as the business representative in the implementation of B2B related products and technologies improvements and process development.
  • Provides day‑to‑day account management for the B2B portfolio, overseeing the development and implementation of B2B and Business Development business plans and strategies, and specifically develops strategic business plans with medium to high risk decisions that may have organization‑wide impact.
  • Manages and maintains critical relationships with B2B and Business Development counterparts across varying political frameworks.
  • Liaises with operational stakeholders, both internal and external to BCLC, to define and refine the B2B process and oversee delivery initiatives that focus on the customers’ interest.
  • Oversees all B2B and Business Development invoicing and financial reconciliation.
Minimum Required Qualifications

Education and Experience

  • Post‑secondary degree in Sales, Marketing or Business Administration.
  • 4 to 6 years in eGaming, including experience working with Marketing, Product, CRM, and managing key stakeholder relationships.
  • 5 or more years of experience in the Gambling industry.
  • An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.

Technical Requirements

  • Understanding of basic revenue forecasting, profit management and business planning concepts.
  • Thorough understanding of BCLC’s and PlayNow’s strategic direction, with the ability to represent those strategies to current and potential partners.
  • Extensive understanding of PlayNow platform systems and vendors.
  • Exceptional communication, public relations, and presentation skills with the ability to negotiate and influence decision making.
  • Demonstrated ability to navigate ambiguous or unknown territories by drawing parallels where possible, and using evidence‑based judgment.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with an aptitude to influence and speak to a variety of audiences to achieve mutually beneficial outcomes.
  • Knowledge of the gaming industry and understanding of inherent issues and risks with this entertainment channel both within BC and other jurisdictions.
  • Knowledge of Gaming criteria under the Criminal Code of Canada is preferred.
  • Computer skills – MS Office suite.
