Job description
JOB SUMMARY

Under limited supervision, develops and manages all IT activity related to diagnosing and solving hardware/software issues, equipment failures and security controls. Provides expertise and leadership on complex assignments and projects with considerate resource requirements, risk and complexity. Leads projects in the research and implementation of new IS related technology. Provides direction and acts as lead DENSO support to all stakeholders in a timely and professional manner. Aids in the development of future direction and strategies based on trends in the IT industry, current DENSO work environment and past issues.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Investigates, researches, resolves and monitors issues related to computer equipment (e.g., laptops, desktops, and servers) and network equipment (network errors, printer/scanner issues, modem communication, switches). Maintains and supports associate applications (RSA tokens, Remote Access) and reports issues into the NAITS tracking/ticket system to spot trends and underlying issues.
  • Investigates, researches, resolves, and monitors operating systems: installation of new OS, errors, compatibility issues. Installs department/site specific software; investigates, researches, resolves, and monitors all software applications (including department‑specific software). Diagnoses and solves special access services for associates, provides training and assistance for special applications and to new associates. Reports issues into the NAITS tracking/ticket system to spot trends and underlying issues.
  • Troubleshoots components of the network that may cause problems and reports issues to NAITS. Monitors and records warranty information for computers. Conducts software licensing tracking and inventory for DSCN computers. Prepares cross‑reference access‑control reports and verifies with department management that access control is correct for department associates.
  • Researches and investigates information on new hardware/software technologies prior to purchase and upgrading/installation. Analyzes information and prepares reports for management and provides cost‑analysis information for budget purposes. Upon approval, prepares appropriate documentation (Requisition/Purchase Order/Fixed Assets) and creates project plans for implementation of technology/equipment.
  • Develops and implements policies and procedures throughout the software development life cycle to maximize efficiency, effectiveness, and overall quality of software products and information systems. Ensures all systems and processes meet organizational standards and user requirements.
  • Completes tasks related to information security to ensure the security of the organization’s systems and information assets. Develops and executes high‑profile plans/programs to enhance/maximize information security, supports specified initiatives, and performs audits.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
