Job summary

MDA, a global space systems leader, seeks a Senior Contracts Specialist for its Satellite Systems team in Montreal. You will advise on complex commercial and government agreements, draft and negotiate terms, and manage lifecycle contracts with strong attention to risk and regulatory compliance.

The ideal candidate has 8+ years in contracts/transactions within aerospace or high-tech, with solid negotiation, communication, and bilingual skills. Security clearance readiness is required.

Qualifications

• 8+ years as contracts/transactional professional in aerospace/defense/high-technology industries.
• Experience drafting, negotiating and managing complex transactions with commercial and government entities.
• Experience working with or within a public company is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Act as day-to-day advisor to Business Development and Program Management on contractual matters for Satellite Systems.
• Negotiate, draft, review and execute commercial and government agreements.
• Provide reviews and briefings identifying liability and risk exposure to MDA.
• Administer customer and subcontractor agreements through life of contract; manage changes and input into ERP.
