Job summary

Parkland Corporation seeks a Senior Sourcing Specialist – Retail Fuel Distribution to develop and execute sourcing strategies, reducing costs and delivering value for stakeholders. The role focuses on our Technical Services space, PMO, maintenance, OEM equipment, and supplier management in the energy sector.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a business, supply chain, or technical discipline.
  • 7+ years of experience in sourcing, procurement or related field.
  • Strong data analytics and ability to lead complex projects.
  • Experience with supplier portfolio development and executive-level decisions.
  • Proficiency with contract management software (e.g., APTTUS/Agiloft) and SAP or similar.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and stakeholder engagement.
  • Ability to lead cost savings initiatives and negotiations.

The Opportunity

The Senior Sourcing Specialist – Retail Fuel Distribution is responsible for developing and executing sourcing strategies to reduce costs and deliver stakeholder value, with primary focus on our Technical Services business area. Experience with construction, maintenance, PMO, MRO, OEM equipment, spare parts, or other technical related fields is a plus. The successful candidate should have experience participating in sourcing events and category analysis. Experience in the fuel/midstream/energy space is also desired. The scope of the position will include leading the preparation and execution of sourcing processes, contract & supplier management, stakeholder engagement and value creation.

Responsibilities
  • Lead analysis, development and implementation of cost savings initiatives.
  • Generate strategic inputs and supply market information to influence business decisions and act as a conduit for procurement activities.
  • Lead complex negotiations, contract development, contract implementation, and supplier contract compliance.
  • Work with appropriate stakeholder teams to identify areas of opportunity.
  • Quantify savings related to opportunity and work with business team to ensure savings are realized through vendor management and budget process.
  • Conduct ongoing business reviews to ensure suppliers are performing to contracted obligations and service levels.
  • Lead the suppliers and stakeholders of the supply chain through effective engagement and communication by delivering supplier awareness programs.
  • Solicit advice from manager regarding procurement processes and protocol and apply appropriate solutions to issues for stakeholders.
Education
  • Bachelor's degree in a business, supply chain, or technical discipline
Requirements
  • Experience in supporting supplier portfolio development.
  • Customer-focused with excellent written, listening and verbal communication skills.
  • Proven record of driving cost savings throughout a complex organization.
  • Ability to structure and lead complex projects.
  • Ability to think strategically, conceptually and analytically to assess problems, identify and consider potential solutions, and make timely recommendations.
  • Years of work experience: 7+ years of experience.
  • Data analytics, sourcing, procurement systems, and customer service.
  • Confident leading and influencing decisions at an executive level.
  • Business software applications: Microsoft Office, APTTUS/Agiloft or other contract management software, and SAP or other purchasing software.
