Overview

Senior Software Engineer, Salesforce — Reporting to: Senior Director, Salesforce Engineering. Location: Toronto, Ontario. Employee Category: Salary, Exempt. Inspirato is looking for a passionate individual focused on building high quality solutions on our Salesforce platform. Must be enthusiastic, creative, and possess a talent for solving real business challenges. This hands-on role requires extensive prior Salesforce development experience and a strong focus on collaboration, customer needs, quality, and adaptability.

General Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with members of the development team, product owners, and stakeholders to design, develop, test, and provide post-release support.
  • Document technical details of solutions.
  • Create and implement test plans.
  • Operate in a highly agile environment with a focus on iterative and test-driven design methods.
  • Design and develop Salesforce customizations including Apex, triggers, Lightning Web Components, object structures, flows, validation rules, and applications.
  • Understand, work with, and utilize sophisticated code patterns in Apex and JavaScript.
  • Maintain a security-conscious mindset and adhere to best practices and team standards.
  • Supply expertise in advanced Apex and JavaScript programming concepts including design patterns, governor limits management, bulk patterns, efficient trigger handling, and asynchronous operations.
  • Work with architects and other developers to translate business requirements into solution designs that best achieve target capabilities and leverage the platform effectively.
  • Engage in code and technical design reviews to ensure code quality and best practices are maintained.
  • Be flexible in handling changing priorities and meeting commitments.
  • Be a model of team cooperation and leadership and participate in a collaborative, self-accountable team of software craftspeople.
Minimum Qualifications
  • 6+ years of related Salesforce experience in a development capacity.
  • Experience with Salesforce development toolkit (On platform declarative customizations, Lightning Web Components, Apex, VS Code, Salesforce CLI, Git).
  • Experience writing technical documentation and requirements.
  • Extensive experience developing Apex code, triggers, Lightning Web Components, platform events, custom actions, approval processes, and integrations leveraging Salesforce APIs.
  • Effective analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving capability.
  • Self-motivated and accountable.
  • Salesforce Developer Certification.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Hands-on experience integrating Salesforce with other internal systems and third-party solutions.
  • Excellent skills in collecting and defining business requirements.
  • Skilled in architecting technical solution designs to meet business needs.
  • Experience with the complete agile software development lifecycle.

Compensation

$104,000-$127,000 CAD. We believe in building a compensation structure that reflects market pay rates for similar-sized companies in similar geographic locations, with adjustments for seniority, performance-based merit, education/training, and scope of responsibilities. Bonus: Eligible for the company’s bonus plan. Paid Time Off: Accrues 15 days annually, plus nine paid holidays. FAM Trip: After one year of employment, eligible for one three-to-four-night stay per calendar year in an Inspirato property, subject to availability and program terms.
