Job summary

Amazon Development Centre Canada ULC in Vancouver is seeking a Software Development Engineer for the S3 Distribution Plane team. You will design and build services that route billions of requests per minute across AWS global infrastructure.

You will work on DNS, IP connectivity, TLS, VPC endpoints and private connectivity, with a focus on reliability, scalability and durability of customer data. The role emphasizes ownership, on-call rotations, mentoring, and collaboration with Route 53, EC2 and

Qualifications

3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
2+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience.
Experience programming with at least one software programming language.

Responsibilities

Design, deliver and maintain the operational health of services and CI/CD pipelines.
Build and scale services in DNS, IP and Network Connectivity, TLS Certificates, VPC Endpoints and Private Connectivity.
Mentor junior engineers and participate in design reviews and operations meetings.
Collaborate with AWS teams to deliver cross-service solutions and improve reliability and security.
Focus on code quality, fleet health and on-call readiness.
