Job summary

Wintermeyer Ventures is seeking an experienced Infrastructure Engineer to build persistent cloud environments powering an AI agent platform. This role blends backend development with infrastructure engineering to ensure isolated customer environments are reliable and scalable.

You will manage VM lifecycles, containers, queues, observability, and observability, and you will implement IaC with Pulumi and cloud technologies, collaborating with a cross-functional team in a remote-friendly setting.

Qualifications

• 6–12 years building and owning core infrastructure.
• Backend applications and infrastructure in a high-ownership environment.
• Strong cloud experience (Azure, AWS, or GCP).
• IaC with Pulumi, Terraform, or CDK.
• Experience with containerized workloads (Docker/Kubernetes) and Linux.
• Clear written and verbal communication skills.
• Authorized to work in the United States without visa sponsorship.

About the Role

What You'll Do

What We're Looking For

• 6 to 12 years of experience building and owning core infrastructure, with substantial production software engineering experience.
• Experience developing backend applications and infrastructure in an early-stage or similarly high-ownership environment.
• Strong cloud experience with Azure, AWS, or GCP, plus infrastructure-as-code tools such as Pulumi, Terraform, or CDK.
• Experience with containerized workloads, including Docker or Kubernetes, and deep working knowledge of Linux systems.
• Background managing isolated customer environments or persistent cloud workloads is valuable.
• Clear written and verbal communication skills.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States without visa sponsorship.

Compensation & Benefits

Base salary range: $250,000 to $325,000 USD annually. Visa sponsorship is not available.
