Job summary

7shifts is seeking a Senior Software Developer to join the Growth squad, driving experiments that improve activation, retention, and monetization. You’ll shape high-velocity technical decisions across product, design, and engineering, using AI thoughtfully to ship impactful features.

You will mentor peers, set engineering standards, and partner with PMs and Analysts to review results and iterate based on user data.

Qualifications

• Degree in CS or software engineering or equivalent practical experience.
• Ability to translate ambiguous problems into lightweight, testable technical solutions.
• Experience working with large, evolving codebases and balancing speed with quality.

Responsibilities

• Lead the PDE squad to ideate, refine, and ship minimum viable features.
• Implement robust tracking and analytics for new features with PMs/Analysts.
• Improve performance, reliability and data integrity by reducing complexity.
• Set and enforce engineering practices through reviews, testing, and standards.
• Mentor developers and guide technical decisions across the team.
