Job summary

Faire in Toronto, Canada seeks a frontend engineer with 4+ years of React/TypeScript experience to design and build reusable components for our design system. You will champion accessibility (WCAG), performance, and collaborate with Product Design and cross-functional teams to improve our shared UI platform.

You will lead technical projects, drive adoption of frontend architecture improvements, and mentor teammates while leveraging AI-assisted tooling to accelerate design processes.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of professional frontend engineering experience with React, TypeScript, HTML and CSS
• Experience building or maintaining a design system or shared UI platform used by multiple product teams
• Strong understanding of accessibility standards (WCAG) and performance best practices
• Proven ability to collaborate closely with Product Design and cross-functional engineering teams
• Demonstrated ability to lead technical projects from conception through execution and influence technical direction

Demonstrated ability to lead technical projects from conception through execution, and to influence technical direction beyond your immediate team A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science/Software Engineering or equivalent industry experience Strong collaboration skills and experience partnering closely with Product Design and cross-functional engineering teams A passion for creating high-quality, scalable, and maintainable code, and for making other engineers more productive 4+ years of professional frontend engineering experience, with deep expertise in React, TypeScript, HTML, and CSSExperience building or maintaining a design system, component library, or shared UI platform used by multiple product teams A strong understanding of accessibility standards (WCAG)
