Job summary

MultiTech Systems, Inc. in Toronto seeks a Senior Cloud Platform Architect to lead the design and delivery of cloud services powering mCloud. You will architect device identity, billing, admin capabilities, and enable migration of customers to the next-generation platform.

You will drive enterprise-scale solutions using .NET, Azure, and modern API stacks, building scalable, secure, and observable cloud services while shaping CI/CD and IaC practices across Azure environments.

Qualifications

• 7+ years designing and delivering enterprise-scale cloud applications.
• Expertise in .NET / ASP.NET Core, REST APIs, gRPC and GraphQL.
• Advanced knowledge of Azure cloud technologies (App Service, Entra ID, SQL, Key Vault).
• Experience with CI/CD, IaC and cloud observability in Azure.

SUMMARY

You will architect, lead and build the foundational cloud platform services that power mCloud. This role will lead development of enterprise identity, device management, billing, compliance, and administration capabilities while enabling the seamless migration of existing customers to our next-generation platform.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Architect and implement the Device Database to ensure trusted device identity, validation, and business-driven structure.
• Build robust billing and administration capabilities needed for enterprise readiness, including subscription monetization, RBAC, and auditability.
• Manage terms and conditions workflows, privacy-policy consent flows, and compliance programs.
• Optimize cloud environments for scalability, reliability, performance, security, and cost.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE

• 7+ years designing and delivering enterprise-scale cloud applications, including platform services, data architectures, and customer-facing APIs.
• Proven experience using AI-assisted coworker tools (Claude preferred) to write, debug, optimize, and operationalize scalable, robust full deployments.
• Deep expertise in .NET / ASP.NET Core, Entity Framework Core, REST APIs, gRPC and GraphQL.
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Azure cloud technologies, specifically Azure App Service, Azure AD B2C / Microsoft Entra ID, Azure SQL, and Azure Key Vault.
• Deep understanding of software architecture, distributed systems, and modern design patterns.
• Experience implementing CI/CD pipelines, Infrastructure-as-Code, and cloud observability solutions in Azure environments.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

• Lifting requirements up to 10 pounds.
• Requires sitting for periods of time and occasional mobility.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

• Working conditions are normal for an office environment. Minimal noise.
• Our Minnesota facility includes a manufacturing environment. Moderate noise level. Machinery operation requires the use of safety equipment to include but not limited to; safety glasses, hearing protection, wrist and shoe straps, and ESD smock. Loose fitting clothing and jewelry are not permitted. No food is allowed in the manufacturing area. No cell phone use allowed in manufacturing area unless approved by management.

SALARY RANGE

• Toronto: $130,000 - $160,000 CAD
