Job summary

The successful candidate will shape scalable architectures, mentor developers, and drive modernization initiatives across product, security, and operations in a hybrid work environment in Surrey, BC.

Qualifications

• Senior-level software engineering experience with enterprise apps.
• Educational background in computer science, information systems, software engineering, or equivalent.
• Experience designing, building, and supporting robust applications.
• Hands-on with CI/CD, automated testing, code reviews, refactoring, and production support.
• Experience leading Agile delivery and modern engineering practices.

Responsibilities

• Provide senior technical leadership for design, development, testing, deployment and support of Driver Licensing applications and services.
• Design scalable, secure, maintainable components and data models aligned with enterprise modernization.
• Lead modern engineering practices: CI/CD, automated testing, code quality, secure coding and production readiness.
• Apply AI-assisted development tools responsibly to improve coding efficiency and documentation.
• Improve developer experience and streamline pipelines for safer, consistent delivery.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to translate modernization goals into practical solutions and plans.
• Investigate and resolve complex defects, performance issues and production incidents.
