The Services organization at Lightspeed focuses on providing foundational services that support core offerings across the product portfolio. This includes solutions for our Golf merchants, as well as Financial Services (Payments, Capital), Scheduling Services, and Technical Services (Auth, Merchant Data).

We are hiring Senior Software Developers and Intermediate Software Developers to work within the Development team of the Services organization. Your responsibilities will include developing and maintaining features within our products, contributing to the codebase, improving architecture, and participating in production operations, including on-call rotations. Senior Engineers are expected to bring strong technical expertise, help the team achieve its goals, and improve processes and tooling.

Most importantly, you'll work with experts in a growing department providing critical services to various Lightspeed products. Note that we are hiring for multiple positions across different teams within Services.

What you'll be responsible for :
  • Deliver features and resolve bugs across various services, meeting sprint commitments.
  • Participate in planning, retrospectives, and demos.
  • Decompose high-level requirements into development tasks.
  • Keep the team informed about expectations, priorities, and schedules.
  • Lead effort estimation for sprints and roadmaps.
  • Contribute to improving our delivery processes.
  • Encourage growth, education, and career development within the team.
  • Assist in recruiting top talent.
  • Provide technical and process guidance.
  • Conduct code reviews to maintain high standards.
  • Support the tools and products delivered by the team.
