Vasco is the revenue context layer for AI agents. The product was built around one idea: confident is not the same as correct, and revenue decisions get made on confidence all the time. We structure CRM, billing, calls, and support data into a semantic layer where every metric is sourced, every definition is locked, and every answer is deterministic, then build agents that take the manual busywork off people's plates.
Our cofounders Guillaume and Seb already built and sold one startup together; today they are building the product they wished they had. Vasco's mission is to enable builders and GTM leaders to build a revenue engine that moves the business forward on data they can trust.

As a Senior Software Developer at Vasco, you'll join a small team of product designers and engineers reporting to our CTO. Your focus will be building the backend of our product, with the opportunity to work on core surfaces like the context, metrics, and plan engines that power our agents. You'll help shape solutions, then carry them through implementation to release. Twelve months in, winning means our agents run on systems you shaped and shipped, and you’re able to tackle hard and crunchy problems.
Backend-focused product development: Design, build, and ship the backend services behind Vasco's product, with the opportunity to work on core surfaces like the context, metrics, and plan engines that power our agents, and to venture into fullstack or data engineering work based on your abilities.
Security and data trust: Build services that handle customer revenue data safely, since the product's promise rests on data our customers can trust.
Shaping to release: Shape solutions with product designers and other engineers in our Shape Up process, then own the work from shaping through implementation to release.
Cross-functional collaboration: Work day to day with product designers and GTM team members, bringing their context into what you build.
AI-native practices: Contribute to how we build product and generate code with Claude Code, including building out our coding harnesses.
Incident response: Take part in incident response for the systems we run, keeping the product reliable for customers.
Product-minded builder. You've built to solve customer problems first and foremost, and your technical decisions trace back to them.
Autonomous ownership. You've owned complex projects end to end and acted as your own project manager: scoping, sequencing, unblocking, and keeping stakeholders aligned along the way.
Backend depth. You've designed, built, and operated production backend services end to end, and you've owned the outcomes they produced.
AI fluency. You've made AI coding tools part of how you ship real work, and you can tell where they raise quality and where they don't.
Bias for action. You'd rather ship a working slice now than a complete thing later, and you're willing to give wild ideas a shot.
High-stakes judgment. You've applied judgment in high-stakes situations where the cost of being wrong was real, and you can walk through how you decided.
Systems thinking. You've designed solutions that address root causes and prevent downstream issues, treating the architecture as one integrated system.
Shaping instinct. You can take a loosely defined problem, weigh scope against appetite, and turn it into a solution the team can build.
Communication clarity. You can turn technical trade-offs into clear business impact for any audience, from developers to cofounders.
Context layers for agents. You've built data or context layers that AI agents consume in production.
Data engineering or DevOps range. You can drop into data engineering work (SQL, data modeling, pipelines) or DevOps work (infrastructure, CI/CD, observability) when the problem calls for it.
Fullstack range. You've shipped application work across the stack, frontend included.
Our stack or close equivalents. You've worked with GCP, BigQuery, Node.js, TypeScript, or Terraform, or their equivalents in other clouds.
Semantic layers and BI tooling. You've worked with semantic layers or BI tools (we use Cube).
Small, high-caliber team, with experienced founders still building alongside you.
Early-stage pace and real ownership: the problems are unsolved, the path isn't fixed, and your judgment and capabilities shape what happens next.
AI-forward, both in how we work day to day and in what we build for customers.
Real autonomy, with room to experiment, pick up new skills, and take on projects outside your role: nobody here is boxed in.
Compensation within the top of the national market, stock options for every team member, uncapped paid time off, generous parental leave, and 100% employer-paid health benefits for you and your dependents.
This position is hybrid in Montreal— three days in-person per week (Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday) at WeWork Place Ville-Marie in downtown Montreal.
