Job summary

Meridian Credit Union is seeking a skilled Web Applications Developer to join the Online Banking Development team in a hybrid role. You will design, code, test, document and support web-based banking solutions leveraging C#, React, ASP.NET MVC and related technologies.

You will collaborate with Business Analysis, QA, Digital Banking and Dev/Ops to build quality software, deploy rapidly, and ensure cross-browser compatibility. Prior experience with SaaS, REST/WCF services and MS SQL is required.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of application development experience in a corporate environment.
• Strong experience with C#, React, ASP.NET MVC, XML, CSS, JavaScript, AJAX, jQuery, Angular JS.
• Experience delivering SaaS solutions and relational databases with stored procedures.
• Knowledge of cross-browser compatibility and Microsoft Entity Framework.
• Experience in Web Services/API development using WCF/REST.

The role:

The Online Banking Development team is tasked with developing, integrating and maintaining the software components and applications of Meridian’s Digital banking technology and infrastructure. The team’s function involves working closely with the Business Analysis, Quality Assurance, Digital Banking and Dev/Ops teams to develop quality solutions.

The successful candidate will design, code, unit test, document, implement, and provide ongoing support for web applications.

Candidate will be responsible for the rapid development, integration and deployment of web application for online banking solution that leverage cutting‑edge development technologies.

The candidate must have a strong background in software development and programming.

In this role, you will:

• Develop and implement web applications for existing website, and other web-related projects.
• Perform a variety of technical tasks, including design, architecture, programming, maintenance, unit testing, and documentation of web based application
• Design, implement, and maintain the components required for complex application features
• Integrate third party software into existing applications and infrastructure
• Unit testing applications
• Providing ongoing support for deployed applications

We’d Love to Work with You If You Have the following skills and abilities:

• Minimum of 3 years of application development experience in corporate environment
• Development experience in C#, React, ASP.NET MVC, XML, CSS, JavaScript, AJAX, jQuery, Angular JS
• Experience working with SaaS
• Experience with relational database systems and usage of stored procedures
• Understanding of cross-browser compatibility issues
• Experience in using MS SQL Database – Microsoft Entity Framework
• Experience in cross platform mobile app development – RactNative(Nice to Have)
• Experience with ObjC, Swift, Java, Kotlin ( Nice to have)
• Experience with development of Web Services/API using WCF, REST

This role represents an existing vacancy. Internal candidates are being considered as part of our standard process.

Salary Range: CAD $90,000 - $100,000

Compensation for this role is based on a combination of skills, experience, and internal equity. Candidates with stronger alignment to the role’s requirements may be placed higher within the range. Your recruiter will share more information about our total rewards package during the hiring process.

Join us! This role is hybrid. Our offices are located at 3280 Bloor St W, Etobicoke, and 75 Corporate Park Dr, St. Catharines. Travel between these offices may be required, as well as occasional travel to branches.
