Job Description

The successful candidate will help improve our security compliance by providing guidance to other teams, building security-based infrastructure, and responding to security vulnerabilities. You will contribute as part of our agile team in a casual work environment that encourages teamwork, open communication, and discussion. We are looking for a variety of skills, focusing on Security, Kubernetes, and C# microservices.

Responsibilities:

  • Implement a solid security infrastructure to provide the foundation for our platform.
  • Respond to critical security events promptly to coordinate effective responses and mitigate issues for customers.
  • Analyze complex problems involving multiple causes to define required software functionality.
  • Design, implement, test, document, and support non-real-time software to meet functionality requirements.
  • Design, implement, test, document, and support software characterized by timely and predictable responses to external events.
  • Work as part of an Agile team to design, code, and perform integration testing of features, fix bugs, participate in Community of Practices, mentor junior developers, etc.

Knowledge & Experience

Required Qualifications:

  • Post-secondary education in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or a relevant field, or equivalent experience.
  • 3+ years of experience in DevSecOps.
  • Experience with Security Vulnerability Management and Remediation.
  • Experience in security compliance to obtain certifications.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as C# or Java.
  • Ability to adapt to the latest development techniques and eagerness to learn.
  • Eligibility for a top-secret security clearance.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Exceptional problem-solving skills.
  • Proven ability to deliver high-quality code and complete projects.
  • Team player capable of sharing knowledge, mentoring, and conducting code reviews.
  • Experience with Vault, Kubernetes, Pen Testing, REST APIs, enterprise development, Big Data, Linux, and multi-team environments.

How We Work

You will work remotely or in a hybrid setting, reporting to our Kanata, Ontario location at least twice a week.
