Job summary

Cytel in Canada seeks an experienced epidemiology/data scientist to support Real World Data analyses. You will program and conduct statistical analyses under supervision, develop analysis plans, and advise on analytic strategies across epidemiology projects.

You will partner with epidemiologists and stakeholders to prioritize work, deliver timely results, and communicate findings clearly for regulatory and scientific audiences.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree or PhD in epidemiology/biostatistics/related with 5+ years of RWE analytics experience in pharma, CRO, or academia.
• SQL proficiency required; SAS or R proficiency required.
• Experience with RWE sources such as Optum Clinformatics, Truveta, UK Biobank; clinical trial/registry data helpful.
• Relational databases and claims/ancillary file layouts familiarity.
• Applied statistics including regression, survival analyses, and propensity weighting.
• Excellent project management; ability to prioritize multiple tasks.
• Strong written and verbal communication; effective stakeholder interaction.

Responsibilities

• Assist in development of study protocols and analysis plans leveraging large RWD sources (Claims and/or EHR).
• Liaise with data vendors to obtain relevant data extracts for research studies consistent with study protocols.
• Create analytical databases from data extracts to facilitate conduct of data analyses.
• Conduct analyses consistent with methods set forth in study protocols and analysis plans.
• Produce tables and figures for discussions with other investigators, clients, and for study reports.
• Present results internally and to clients.
• Assist in the preparation of study reports and other deliverables.
• May have supervisory responsibilities in the future.
