Job summary

Randstad Canada is seeking an Auditor V to join its Internal Audit team for a 4-month contract with a strong likelihood of extension or permanent conversion. The role is based in a hybrid Waterloo or Toronto office, supporting audits across the Canadian portfolio.

You will oversee and execute complex audits, assess risks, map deficiencies, and identify process improvements. The position requires leading discussions with senior management and managing cross-functional projects.

Qualifications

• 4 to 6 years of audit, risk management, or advisory experience in financial services.
• Knowledge of COSO/COBIT frameworks and risk/operational risk concepts.
• Strong audit techniques: planning, scoping, project management, testing.

Responsibilities

• Engagement management: handle multiple complex audits within budgets and timelines.
• Project leadership: guide ongoing audits and ensure objectives are met.
• Documentation: record business processes, controls, metrics, and test strategies.
• Client engagement: lead meetings with clients, present findings and recommendations.
• Control evaluation: assess designs, test effectiveness, and track findings to resolution.
• Reporting: prepare internal audit reports for management delivery.
• Innovation & analytics: explore automation using data analytics and CAAT tools.
