Job summary

UNC Health Hillsborough is seeking a Respiratory Therapist, Senior, to provide advanced respiratory care and manage patient airway and ventilator needs. The role supports oxygen and aerosol therapy, and related procedures in a 30-hour weekly onsite setting.

Qualified candidates will have two years of experience as a Respiratory Therapist and licensure as an RRT or CRT with NC-specific requirements. Night shifts and on-site work apply, with UNC Health benefits and referral opportunities.

Qualifications

• Must document clinical information clearly and completely.
• Strong communication with patients, families, and staff.
• Math and ratios essential for clinical calculations.
• Excellent reasoning to define problems and draw conclusions.

Responsibilities

• Administers standard respiratory care including aerosol therapy and arterial punctures.
• Manages airway care including tracheostomy and ventilation support.
• May perform pulmonary function testing and on-call duties.
• Demonstrates independence and serves as a resource for staff.
