Senior Real Estate Law Clerk

Our client based in Downtown Toronto is a full-service law firm providing representation and assistance across multiple verticals. They are currently seeking an experienced senior Law Clerk to join their busy Real Estate Group.

Your new role

In this role as a Real Estate Law Clerk you will be responsible for a wide variety of legal and administrative duties within the real estate sphere, working with a team of clerks and lawyers. You will manage and complete purchase and mortgage files from start to finish. In this role you will handle all forms of real estate files, including purchases, sales, mortgages, and refinancing. Drafting and coordinating necessary documents required for closing.

What you will need to succeed

To be considered for this position, you must have minimum of 5-years relevant real estate experience at a law firm. Knowledge of acquisitions, dispositions, financings, project development, and condo and development work are an asset. Real estate statutes and practices, legal concepts and procedures, transactional experience and broad, but thorough knowledge of basic legal principles are essential for this role. You should have exceptional written and communication skills, are organized and meticulous with follow-up and details, and are able to take initiative, prioritize, and multi-task. Experience in Teraview and Conveyancer is a must.
