Job summary

Lenovo Inc. is seeking a senior Storage/Systems architect to drive Software RAID technologies across server platforms. You will partner with uEFI, BMC, backplane, hardware, and validation teams to ensure end-to-end interoperability and robust RAID implementations.

The role emphasizes lifecycle ownership, test strategy development, and continuous improvement through automation and AI-driven analytics. Strong background in NVMe, SAS, and server OS support is required.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a closely related field.
Minimum 7 years of hands-on storage industry experience with Software RAID, SAS Expanders, JBOD, NVMe storage subsystems, and backplanes.
Strong knowledge of server hardware platforms including UEFI, BMC interfaces, IPMI, Windows Server, Linux, and VMware ESXi.

Responsibilities

Investigate and track emerging Software RAID technologies and assess their strategic fit with Lenovo’s storage roadmap.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams (uEFI, BMC, Backplane, Hardware, System Validation) to deliver robust Software RAID solutions.
Lead end-to-end implementation lifecycle: test strategies, validation plans, results reporting, debugging, and improving automation and coverage.
Provide full technical ownership across the product lifecycle, from pre-sales architecture to firmware issues and field escalations.
Drive knowledge leadership through training and documentation to support organizational learning.
Leverage AI-driven analytics and automation to optimize test execution, defect prediction, and root-cause analysis.
