Job summary

You are expected to have deep quantum mechanics and numerical computing expertise, with a track record in high-performance HPC frameworks and scientific software design.

Qualifications

• PhD in physics, math, CS or related field.
• 2a11
• 3+ years in quantum industry or academia.
• Deep expertise in at least one specialization area.
• Strong background in quantum mechanics and numerical computing.
• Ability to formulate complex computational problems.
• Experience validating numerical methods and identifying applicability.
• Experience with high-performance numerical frameworks (JAX, NumPy/SciPy, Julia) and maintainable scientific software.
• Ability to provide technical leadership and mentorship.

Responsibilities

• Lead development of scalable simulation backends for multimode bosonic systems.
• Define technical roadmaps and validate new numerical approaches.
• Collaborate with theorists and compiler teams to shape architecture of the simulation codebase.
• Mentor colleagues and lead research software projects under uncertainty.
• Ensure rigorous validation and documentation of numerical methods.
