Job summary

Bio-Techne, a leader in life sciences tools, seeks a Senior QC Technician to lead a Consumables Manufacturing team on the swing shift, driving safety, quality, continuous improvement and daily cartridge production targets.

This role focuses on coordinating daily QC activities, performing assay runs, ensuring documentation and COAs, and promoting ISO 9001 compliance while mentoring team members and supporting EPIC values.

Qualifications

• BS in Biology, Chemistry, Biochemistry or related discipline preferred
• 4+ years’ experience working in a life science quality control environment, and familiar with QC workflow
• Excellent communication skills
• Technical wet lab skills
• Strong organizational skills with an attention to detail and quality
• Able to work and lead QC team independently with minimal guidance
• Working knowledge of ISO and/or regulatory compliance requirements
• Working competency with Excel, Word, Outlook, and other analytical software tools
• Good written and verbal skills
• Knowledge of Lean/Continuous Improvement, or a willingness to learn

Responsibilities

• Lead QC team on swing shift to meet safety, quality, and production targets
• Align with production supervisor/manager on priorities and communicate daily QC work schedule
• Allocate daily work assignments to the team to support production schedule
• Perform QC assay runs on consumables cartridges
• Process assay results and perform basic statistical analysis
• Ensure cartridge QC documentation is complete and accurate and generate COA
• Develop knowledge of all QC processes and troubleshoot issues
• Champion continuous improvement activities
• Ensure adherence to SOPs and ISO 9001 standards
• Promote cross-training to mitigate single-point failures
• Coordinate materials for QC operation
• Promote safety and proper operation of all equipment
• Display leadership and maintain team morale
• Support inventory management tasks and ERP systems
• Lead by example and embody EPIC values
• Perform other duties as assigned

Pay Range:

$22.40 - $30.80

This position is eligible to receive a target annual cash bonus based on individual and company performance,in accordance withcompany policy.

Position Summary

The Senior QC Technician will lead a Consumables Manufacturing team in the swing shift to meet company goals related to safety, quality, continuous improvement, and daily production targets for cartridges.

Hours

3:30 PM to 12:00 AM

Key Responsibilities

• Align with production supervisor/manager on priorities and communicate daily QC work schedule to the QC team

• Allocate daily work assignments to the team to support production schedule and achieve targets

• Perform QC assay runs on consumables cartridges

• Process assay results and perform basic statistical analysis

• Ensure cartridge QC documentation is complete and accurate and generate cartridge Certificate of Analysis

• Develop a working knowledge of all QC processes; leverage knowledge to troubleshoot issues; identify non-conformance and implement corrective actions

• Champion continuous improvement activities

• Ensure adherence to SOP and Work Instructions, and overall compliance to ISO 9001 standards

• Promote cross-training to mitigate single-point failures, and production surges

• Coordinate and ensure sufficient materials for QC operation

• Promote safety and proper operation of all equipment

• Display technical skills and leadership skills; function as a role model, maintain morale and ensure effective communication with team

• Support inventory management tasks (physical and ERP/business systems) as directed

• Lead and support company EPIC values, and lead by example.

• Perform other duties as may be assigned
