Job summary

RBC in Bedford, Canada is seeking a Quality Engineer within Corporate Treasury IT to design test plans, write test cases and scripts, and build automated suites. You will work across teams with strong technical and communication skills to ensure high-quality software delivery.

Responsibilities include sustaining ETL/SQL tests, collaborating from initiation to closure, and applying QA practices in a fast-paced DevOps environment.

Qualifications

• Strong experience in SQL, able to write complex queries validating business rules and transformations.
• Strong Database and ETL Testing experience (RDBMS, data warehouse, data lake).
• Experience with Unix/Linux environments and commands.
• Strong experience in SQL queries; Experience in Python/Java.
• Test Automation using frameworks like Robot Framework, BDD, POM.
• Ability to create or customize test automation frameworks.

Responsibilities

• Create test plans, test cases and test scripts from complex requirements and user stories.
• Develop and maintain automated test suites using test automation tools.
• Track issues end-to-end for components or systems as required.
• Collaborate with team members, leads and stakeholders from initiation to closure.
• Apply QA knowledge across IT and business contexts to improve quality.
