Job summary

Zafin, an AI platform company headquartered in Toronto, seeks a Senior QA Automation Engineer to redefine how quality is built into mission-critical banking software. You will drive the quality engineering strategy for our enterprise SaaS platform, designing scalable automation frameworks and embedding quality throughout the software development lifecycle.

You will work with Product, Engineering, and Architecture to deliver resilient, high-performing solutions while championing modern quality

Qualifications

• Proven experience designing and building scalable automation frameworks.
• Strong expertise in Selenium, Playwright, Cypress, or similar automation tools.
• Hands-on experience with API automation (Rest Assured/Postman), SQL, and backend validation.
• Experience integrating automation into CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps, Jenkins, or GitHub Actions.
• Knowledge of performance testing, Kafka/event-driven systems, and cloud-native applications (preferably Azure/Kubernetes).
• A collaborative mindset with experience mentoring teams and influencing engineering best practices.

What You’ll Do

As a Senior QA Automation Engineer, you'll drive the quality engineering strategy for our enterprise SaaS platform, designing scalable automation frameworks and embedding quality throughout the software development lifecycle. You'll work closely with Product, Engineering, and Architecture teams to deliver resilient, high-performing solutions while championing modern quality engineering practices.

In this role, you will:

What We’re Looking For

We're seeking experienced Quality Engineering professionals (6–9 years) who think like software engineers and are passionate about building quality into every stage of the development lifecycle.

You’ll be a great fit if you have:

• Proven experience designing and building scalable automation frameworks.
• Strong expertise in Selenium, Playwright, Cypress, or similar automation tools.
• Hands-on experience with API automation (Rest Assured/Postman), SQL, and backend validation.
• Experience integrating automation into CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps, Jenkins, or GitHub Actions.
