Job summary

Trissential is hiring a Senior QA Analyst to join our client’s team in Montreal. You will design and execute test cases for banking and payment workflows, validate quality across APIs and event-driven systems, and contribute to test automation initiatives.

You will collaborate with architects, developers, product owners, and business stakeholders to drive quality from design through delivery in a hybrid work model that supports professional growth in a regulated financial services environment.

Qualifications

• 5-7+ years of software QA/QA engineering experience.
• Hands-on API testing experience across systems and services.
• Experience with event-driven architectures and messaging like Kafka.
• Experience working in Agile software delivery environments.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to risk.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management.
• Fluent in French and English.

Responsibilities

• Design, document, and execute test cases for banking and payment workflows across APIs and event-driven systems.
• Validate quality, resilience, testability, reliability, and performance across the SDLC.
• Test critical payment processing workflows across distributed architectures and messaging platforms.
• Develop and execute test strategies for API, integration, end-to-end, and non-functional testing.
• Support test automation efforts for API, integration, and end-to-end testing.
• Create and maintain automated test assets as needed by the team.
• Analyze quality metrics, defect trends, and operational insights to improve testing.
• Identify testing gaps, risks, quality debt, and optimization opportunities.
• Partner with development, architecture, product, and business teams to embed quality.
• Track defects and test execution in Jira and quality platforms.
• Support evolution of QA and automation practices.
