Citi is hiring a Senior Python Developer (Applications Development Sr. Programmer Analyst - C12) to build production-grade Python applications and drive Generative AI initiatives.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of progressive software development experience with Python and frameworks such as Django, Flask or FastAPI.
• Deep expertise in software architecture and distributed systems, including Microservices and Event‑Driven Architecture.
• Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP), Docker, and Kubernetes.
• Experience with relational (PostgreSQL, Oracle, SQL Server) and NoSQL (MongoDB, Cassandra, Redis) databases.
• Strong secure coding practices, OWASP Top 10, data encryption, and access control knowledge.
• End-to-end project delivery experience from design to production deployment in a regulated enterprise context.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience in a technical field.

Responsibilities

• Build scalable Python applications that meet production standards for reliability and maintainability.
• Design and develop secure RESTful APIs connecting enterprise systems.
• Shape system architecture decisions with engineers for robust solutions.
• Deploy and maintain CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions) for reliable delivery.
• Evaluate new technologies to improve team capability and product quality.
• Contribute to Agile sprint delivery with clean, well-tested code.
• Identify risks in the development lifecycle and ensure solution integrity and compliance.
