Job summary

BCAA is hiring a Senior Claims Adjuster for its Burnaby, BC headquarters in a hybrid role. The position is temporary full-time and ends December 2027, with on-site claim locations as needed and some travel requiring a vehicle.

You will assess homeowner, recreational vehicle, and travel accident claims, determine coverage, and settle or deny according to the policy. Strong analysis and timely communication are essential.

Qualifications

• Post-secondary diploma or equivalent work experience in related field.
• Minimum 5–7 years in a claims environment.
• Valid BC Driver’s License with clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Handle Property and Casualty claims by phone and in person as needed.
• Investigate claim legitimacy, interview policyholders and witnesses.
• Review estimates, photos, video, ownership proofs, and hospital records.
• Negotiate fair settlements with claimants or counsel.
