A valued healthcare client is seeking a Senior Project Manager to support the implementation of a new Health Information System in Toronto. The successful candidate will work closely with various stakeholders, managing project schedules, costs, and risks, and ensuring effective adoption of the system. Ideal candidates will have over 5 years of project management experience in healthcare, particularly with EPIC systems.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience as a Project Manager within the healthcare industry.
  • Experience managing EPIC or healthcare system implementation projects.
  • Experience with QA and testing methodologies.

Job description

Our valued healthcare client is seeking a Senior Project Manager to support the implementation of a new Health Information System.

7 hour work days. % remote. Must work NDT time zone.

The successful candidate will work with the Digital Health division on a project supporting the implementation of the new health information system (HIS). Specifically, we are looking for the Project Manager to work with the Physician Billing Program to document, plan and track the approach(s) to the identified challenges when onboarding external clinicians to the client HIS. Some of the challenges anticipated include but not limited to : identification of external clinicians appropriate for onboarding in the initial go-live of CorCare, identification of care setting scenarios for the purpose of ensuring appropriate agreements and contracts are in place for go-live, ensuring that access is provided for the right version of the application based on care setting identified, working with other Project Managers on the CorCare implementation to ensure that solutions affecting external clinicians are understood and coordinated across the project teams.

Responsibilities:
  • Establish and maintain effective working relationships with project sponsors, project team members, and other internal and external stakeholders (including company executive, provincial government, patient advisory committees, and professional boards and colleges).
  • Provide direction, coordination, implementation, execution, and completion of projects, while remaining aligned with strategy, commitments, and goals of the organization and various stakeholder groups.
  • Develop, manage, and report on schedules, costs, resources, risks, and project objectives at various levels of the organization, including project governance tables.
  • Lead project teams to meet objectives and stakeholders’ expectations providing direction and clear communication of the vision for project success.
  • Develop and execute risk management and mitigation plans.
  • Balance competing goals of project stakeholders to achieve consensus on project outcomes while maximizing business value of the project.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders throughout the province to ensure successful adoption in addition to a successful transition to operations.
  • Collaborate with and ensure coordination between other Project Managers and their teams on the CorCare project to ensure that all appropriate teams are aware of the issues affecting external clinicians and working towards solutions.
Must Have Skills:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in a Business, Health, IT or related field
  • 5+ years of experience as a Project Manager within the healthcare industry
  • Experience managing EPIC or healthcare system implementation projects.
  • Experience with QA and testing methodologies
Nice to have:
  • Change Management certification considered an asset
