Job Description Overview

Senior Project Manager Consultant, Parking Garages

This is anon-site role where you may act as the project’s representative throughout the design and/or construction phases. Daily responsibilities include site inspections, reviewing submittals, documenting meeting minutes, conducting functional testing, preparing weekly reports, and evaluating specification compliance. You’ll also lead internal coordination meetings, track critical scope and schedule items, and collaborate closely with the Program Lead.

A solid understanding of parking garage structure construction and maintenance is required. Strong client coordination skills, logistics planning, and a technical mindset are essential for success in this position.

Your role
  • Delivers expert-level project management support.
  • Works collaboratively alongside the other Senior Project Managers and Construction Managers to support the Program Lead.
  • Works with the Program Lead to manage the performance of the contractor and to elevate the necessary decisions.
  • Interfaces with various internal and external stakeholder groups to align the necessary consultations and approvals.
  • Works with the contractor to coordinate the required permits, approvals, and consents as well as to coordinate site logistics.
  • Oversees the delivery of the works in line with scope, schedule, cost, quality, and risk requirements.
  • Coordinates the effective application of change control procedures and escalates decisions as required.
  • Works collaboratively with the wider program team to coordinate reviews, inspections, and approvals incl. design, health and safety, quality, environmental, security, etc.
  • Works collaboratively with the wider team to coordinate procurement activities and contract management activities.
  • Coaching, mentoring, and supporting the career development of GTAA staff.
About you
  • BS Civil or Construction Management + 6 years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education in the management and of parking garage structure construction and maintenance.
  • Minimum of 10 years of professional experience in project / program management.
  • Demonstrated expertise in project management and / or applicable technical areas to deliver complex projects.
  • Demonstrated experience in managing teams to deliver complex projects and programs.
  • Strong technical capability in all project phases, including design, planning, construction, operations, and maintenance preferably large program/projects.
  • Demonstrable experience in managing stakeholder relationships and providing reporting to enable effective decision making.
  • Strong communication skills including the ability to facilitate meetings / workshops with groups of stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of Autodesk Suite including BIM360, Revit, and AutoCAD is not required but is a plus.
  • Working knowledge base in multiple software programs including MS Word, Excel, MS Project, Adobe/Bluebeam as well as Project Management software (Prolog, Procore, Newforma, Aconex, etc.).

Expected compensation for this role is (between Pay Range $150 000 - & 182 000). Base salaries are determined according to several parameters like skills, experience, and potential impact on the role. Internal and external competitiveness are also taken into account in our offers.

  • Must be able to pass a TSA background check and obtain an airport access badge.
