Qualifications

Job description
Overview

Senior Project Manager - Mining, Minerals and Metals (MMM). Based in Sudbury, Ontario. This full-time, employee role focuses on planning, coordinating and managing EPCM projects in the MMM unit, delivering projects and creating value over the life of assets, with emphasis on HSE leadership and stakeholder management.

Responsibilities
  • HSE Management - Ensure compliance with all HSE procedures and that HSE requirements are documented and understood by all project participants.
  • Client Relationships - Identify, document, and communicate client requirements. Proactively manage multiple stakeholders and maintain healthy client relationships throughout the project and post‑completion. Resolve performance, scope, cost, and schedule issues with the Client as they arise.
  • Commercial Management - Manage the project in accordance with Worley/Client contract.
  • Scope Management - Define area scope and ensure contract requirements are met. Apply change control processes, manage project interfaces, and utilize High Value Engineering Centers. Monitor performance to identify issues and opportunities early.
  • Time Management - Plan all scope elements, develop resource and financial requirements, and manage design, procurement and construction to meet the project schedule. Monitor reports and develop corrective actions; ensure timely documentation turnover at close-out.
  • Cost Control - Prepare and manage accurate estimates, cost reports, forecasts, and approvals; identify trends and take action to avoid overruns; continually assess cost control performance.
  • Quality Management - Define project quality requirements per the Project Quality Program; ensure necessary systems are in place and that work complies with Worley policies and procedures.
  • Team Management - Provide clear project leadership, mentor staff, and participate in performance evaluations. Drive milestones and key objectives.
  • Communications Management - Ensure accurate and timely progress reporting to client and Worley management; monitor communications among project staff, client, and third parties, adjusting as needed.
  • Risk Management - Identify risks and opportunities, monitor closures, and follow through on mitigation plans.

Design Management - Set objectives for the design team; ensure alignment with Basis of Design and applicable regulations and codes; monitor design activities and data flows.
