A leading engineering consultancy in Toronto seeks an experienced professional to manage multiple projects focusing on electrical system assessments and design. The ideal candidate will hold a degree in Electrical Engineering and have at least 5 years of project management experience. In this position, you will be responsible for project investigation, reporting, specification preparation, design production, quality observation, and liaising with clients, contractors, and manufacturers. You must be able to manage multiple projects involving various scopes. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, are essential.
Physical Demands – Work is performed both in an office setting and at outside locations (i.e. industrial, construction and / or residential sites). The employee is frequently required to stand, walk on sloped and flat roofs, sit, climb ladders, bend, climb inside attics, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, talk, hear, and drive a motor vehicle to client sites or job sites. Working at heights, including accessing buildings by ladders, swing stages, and mechanical lifts may be necessary depending on assigned discipline. The employee may lift and / or move up to 50 pounds. Clear vision and depth perception are also necessary. The employee must be sharp, focused, and alert when conducting inspections, speaking, and interacting with clients, preparing drawings and written reports.
Overtime – There will be some occasions where overtime (or working after normal business hours) will be required to meet the demands of the position.
Travel – This position requires up to 60% local area travel. Some out-of-area and overnight travel may be required.
