Senior Project Manager – Civil Construction

Location: Timmins, ON

Salary: $100,000–$150,000 + Bonus + Benefits + Vehicle Allowance

Join a well-established civil contractor recognized for delivering infrastructure projects across Northern Ontario, including Sudbury and Timmins. With a focus on road construction, bridge works, deep excavations, and underground utilities (sewer and watermain), the company is expanding its leadership team to meet growing regional demand.

The Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to oversee multiple civil infrastructure projects from pre-construction through to close-out. You will be responsible for client relations, project execution, financial performance, and mentoring a team of project managers, coordinators, and site staff.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage civil construction projects ranging from $50,000 to $20 million
  • Collaborate with clients, consultants, and municipalities to ensure project delivery meets contract requirements
  • Direct and support site superintendents, estimators, and project coordinators
  • Monitor project budgets, schedules, and quality control
  • Lead tendering, contract negotiations, and change order management
  • Champion health & safety, risk mitigation, and environmental compliance
  • Provide leadership in resolving technical challenges and on-site issues
  • Report on project performance to senior leadership and stakeholders
Qualifications
  • 10+ years of progressive experience in civil construction, with at least 3 years in a senior PM role
  • Proven delivery of roadworks, bridge, excavation, or deep utility (sewer / watermain) projects
  • Post-secondary education in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field
  • Strong knowledge of construction contracts (CCDC, MTO, municipal)
  • Exceptional communication, leadership, and decision-making skills
  • Proficiency with project management software (e.g., MS Project, Procore, or similar)
  • PMP designation or P.Eng. an asset
