Job summary

The Ministry of Transportation Ontario is recruiting Senior Project Managers to support the Highway 69 project from Parry Sound to Sudbury. This is a permanent, on-site opportunity allowing you to lead multidisciplinary teams through major highway improvement design and construction challenges in Northern Ontario.

You will coordinate consultants, manage complex projects, and collaborate with ministries, First Nations, stakeholders and the public to deliver results that support Ontario's

Qualifications

• Knowledge of civil engineering theories, principles and practices in transportation planning, highway engineering design and construction.
• Knowledge of geotechnical and structural design for complex transportation projects.
• Ability to interpret and apply provincial and federal legislation, ministry policies, procedures and standards to assess proposals and designs.

Responsibilities

• Initiate and manage a variety of medium to complex highway improvement design projects.
• Acquire and administer engineering consultants.
• Direct activities of multi-disciplinary staff on transportation projects and monitor outputs to meet goals.
• Liaise with ministry staff, senior management, First Nations, stakeholders and the public; resolve planning and engineering issues.

• Liaise and work with ministry staff, senior management, First Nations, stakeholders, agencies, municipalities, developers, consultants and the public; and
• Resolve planning and engineering issues.
