A regional health authority in Canada is seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead key projects and initiatives. The ideal candidate will have 7-10 years of project management experience in the healthcare industry and hold a PMP designation. The role involves collaboration with various stakeholders and ensuring the successful delivery of projects while adhering to organizational priorities and safety standards.
In accordance with the Vision, Purpose, and Values, and strategic direction of the Vancouver Island Health Authority (Island Health) patient and staff safety is a priority and a responsibility shared by everyone; as such, the requirement to continuously improve quality and safety is inherent in all aspects of this position.
Reporting to the Project Portfolio Director or designate, the Senior Project Manager is responsible for leading key organizational priorities and complex, multi-phased projects within the assigned project portfolio. Working collaboratively with Island Health programs, consultants, executive leadership and other internal and external partners, the Senior Project Manager leads planning and implementation activities ensuring results delivery and works with teams to identify, plan, implement and evaluate improvement and change initiatives.
A level of education, training and experience equivalent to a Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Business Administration, Health Information Science, Social Science or a related field. Seven (7) to ten (10) years' of relevant, related experience, including project management experience, working within or directly within the health care industry and/or public sector. Project Management Professional (PMP) designation/certification is required.
