Overview: As a Senior Project Manager, you will be responsible for managing complex IT projects in a fast-paced financial institution environment. Your primary focus will be on ensuring successful delivery of project deliverables within the constraints of schedule, scope, and budget. You will work closely with cross-functional teams including development, QA, infrastructure, and business units.
What you will be doing:
- You will develop and maintain comprehensive project management artifacts, including project plans, status reports, risk and issue logs, and software artifacts in JIRA, Confluence, and SharePoint.
- Establish and oversee Agile ceremonies, including daily standups, sprint planning, and retrospectives.
- Manage stakeholder expectations and communicate effectively with all levels, from senior management to project team members.
- Conduct regular meetings with project team members to track progress and provide status updates to key stakeholders.
- Liaise with external vendors to ensure optimal project delivery structures.
- Prioritize activities, address risks/issues, and manage resources efficiently across various departments.
- Build a collaborative and productive team environment, driving accountability towards critical milestones and deadlines.
- Anticipate and address potential impediments to team delivery and administer metrics tracking.
What you must have:
- 5+ years managing complex IT projects, focusing on Agile development in financial institutions.
- Bachelor’s in Computer Sciences, Information Systems, or equivalent
- Project management certifications (PMP, Agile) preferred.
- Proficiency in JIRA, Confluence, and other project management tools
- Expertise in IT project management, business analysis, and change management.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills including the ability to lead and motivate colleagues
- Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
