A technology solutions provider is seeking a Senior IT Project Manager in Edmonton, Canada, to lead multiple eHealth initiatives. This individual will manage complex IT and digital health projects from initiation through execution, ensuring objectives and timelines are met. Candidates should possess strong project leadership skills, with at least 8 years of experience in healthcare portfolios and the ability to collaborate with senior stakeholders. The position allows for remote work but may require occasional in-office meetings.
Our Client is seeking one (1) Senior IT Project Manager to provide senior-level project leadership, coordination, and oversight for multiple concurrent eHealth initiatives supporting priorities.
The Senior IT Project Manager is responsible for managing complex IT and digital health projects from initiation through execution, ensuring that project objectives, timelines, and deliverables are met. The resource will lead the development of project charters, plans, schedules, and governance structures; coordinate and facilitate stakeholder engagement; and oversee documentation, risk/issue management, and project reporting to executive leadership. This role requires strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills with the ability to navigate competing priorities, anticipate risks, and support clear decision-making.
The successful candidate will bring demonstrated experience leading complex IT or eHealth projects within the Canadian health system, ideally with familiarity with Alberta’s stakeholder, provider, and regulatory landscape. Experience working with senior and executive-level stakeholders in politically sensitive or multi-jurisdictional environments is considered an asset. The resource must be able to interpret business priorities, integrate technical and operational considerations, and produce high-quality project materials for decision-makers.
This resource will primarily work remotely; however, this role is considered Hybrid as the resource may be required to attend meetings or work sessions in office with reasonable notice from the Province (potentially every few months). Travel time and expenses are not reimbursable. When working remotely, all data must remain within Canada. The expectation is for the resource to work 8 hours per day, attend meetings during business hours, and be available to respond to inquiries as needed. Must be Canadian Citizen to apply.
