Job summary

Forbes Bros. Group of Companies is seeking an experienced Project Director to lead high-value utility infrastructure projects across North America.

You will oversee major construction programs, including transmission infrastructure and substations, with full accountability for execution, commercial performance, and stakeholder relations. This senior role requires 18–20+ years of large-scale delivery experience, extensive contract and risk management expertise, and the ability to travel

Qualifications

• A degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field.
• 18–20+ years of senior project delivery experience within utility infrastructure, heavy industrial, or large-scale construction environments.
• Demonstrated success leading complex, high-value construction projects involving multiple stakeholders, geographic regions, and significant operational and commercial risks.
• Extensive expertise in commercial contract strategy, financial management, joint venture delivery, regulatory engagement, and construction logistics.
• Advanced knowledge of construction safety, QA/QC systems, schedule management, productivity optimization, and project risk mitigation.
• Proven ability to build and lead senior project teams, manage competing priorities, and make sound decisions in complex construction environments.
• Strong executive-level communication, negotiation, and relationship-management skills, with the ability to influence clients, strategic partners, and internal leadership.
• Ability and willingness to travel extensively across regions to support project execution, operational leadership, and stakeholder engagement.

Responsibilities

• Direct the execution of large-scale utility infrastructure projects with budgets often exceeding $500 million to meet schedules and contractual obligations.
• Oversee multi-site and cross-border construction activities, including workforce planning, logistics, and sequencing.
• Maintain full P&L accountability, forecast margins, and lead contract changes, claims, and risk mitigation.
• Resolve engineering, procurement, and construction challenges while addressing regulatory requirements and permits.
• Build strategic relationships with clients, Indigenous governments, regulators, and partners to support delivery.
• Promote safety and QA/QC programs across projects and drive continuous improvement.
• Develop leadership within project teams and strengthen regional operational capabilities.
