Our public sector client requires a Senior Programmer / Software Developer (10+ years) to support web application modernization, accessibility compliance, and technical debt remediation. This is to assist in the redesign and redevelopment of a large internal web application and database to align with modern technologies and accessibility standards. The resource will collaborate with internal project teams to execute modernization initiatives, support remediation of technical debt, and ensure system performance, security, and compliance.

Must Have

• Strong experience with :
• Azure DevOps (ADO)
• Web Experience Toolkit (WET)
• C#, .NET Framework, Entity Framework
• Fluent Validation
• MVC / Onion architecture
• Proven success in building secure, scalable enterprise applications

Tasks Include

• Design and develop scalable web applications using modern frameworks and architectures (MVC, Onion, .NET, C#).
• Analyze business and system requirements; define data flow, storage, and processing specifications.
• Build, integrate, and maintain software components, APIs, and supporting utilities.
• Conduct database modeling, migration, and optimization for large, complex datasets.
• Develop and document program specifications, logic diagrams, workflows, and standards.
• Implement and test code to ensure performance, accuracy, and compliance with accessibility and security requirements.
• Manage source control, code reviews, branching, and release processes.
• Configure and administer Azure DevOps environments, including sprints, dashboards, and user permissions.
• Collaborate with QA teams to track issues, validate fixes, and ensure release readiness.
