Job description
Overview

Are you a seasoned Product Manager with deep experience in growing a product environment and a passion for building impactful financial products? Jobber is looking for a Senior Product Manager to be part of our Product Manager (Fintech) department. Jobber exists to help people in small businesses be successful, working with small home service businesses to transform how service is delivered through technology. With Jobber they can quote, schedule, invoice, and collect payments from their customers while providing an easy and professional customer experience. Our culture emphasizes transparency, inclusivity, collaboration, and innovation.

We have been recognized by Great Place to Work, Canada’s Most Admired Corporate Cultures, and more. Jobber has been named on the Globe and Mail’s Canada’s Top Growing Companies list, and Deloitte Canada’s Technology Fast 50, Enterprise Fast 15, and Technology Fast 500 lists. Our Executive team has over thirty years of industry experience, and we continue to grow since our first customer in 2011.

The Team

Fintech is one of the fastest-growing parts of Jobber and a core strategic priority. We are embedding financial tools within our product to help small businesses thrive, whether it’s getting paid using Jobber Payments, accessing capital to invest in growth, or offering financing to customers. We care about our customers and aim to empower them to run their businesses more effectively.

The Role

Reporting to the Senior Director of Product, Fintech, you will lead the product strategy and execution for Jobber’s newest financial services product. Our fintech products help small service businesses manage their finances, from getting paid to accessing capital. This is an opportunity to build a business, not just a feature, with a mandate to innovate, differentiate, and scale from zero to one.

The Senior Product Manager will
  • Lead end-to-end product development for a new financial services product, and manage an existing feature at scale.
  • Own product discovery and delivery from strategy to execution, aligning cross-functional teams across engineering, design, data, and marketing.
  • Define and execute the roadmap, balancing short-term wins with long-term innovation.
  • Deeply understand the business, synthesizing market, regulatory, and customer data into smart product decisions.
  • Prioritize user and business impact, ensuring every product decision drives value for Jobber’s small business customers.
  • Act as the voice of the customer, especially for small business owners balancing back-office admin with their craft.
  • Set the foundation for a strategy in an entirely new problem space, acting as the resident expert within the company.
To be successful, you should have
  • Proven product management experience at a senior level with a clear focus in fintech or related industry.
  • Experience scaling products from 0 to 1 (and beyond).
  • Demonstrated ability to build new products and businesses, not just optimize existing ones.
  • Strong grasp of how to build products that garner user trust
  • Comfortability with ambiguity, and the ability to manage both confidence in decision making and humility to try things and get them wrong.
  • Strong leadership and decision-making abilities, with proactive problem identification and innovative solutions.
  • Exceptional communication, strategic thinking, and execution skills, and the ability to motivate teams around bold goals.
Compensation

At Jobber, compensation is transparent, fair, and reflective of experience. This role has a minimum annual salary of $145,900, a midpoint of $171,600, and a maximum salary of $197,400, designed to show progression from learning the ropes to excelling.

Our compensation reflects each new hire’s skills, experience, and the role’s complexity, with a broad range to support growth and long-term impact. Fully established hires typically start around the midpoint; the upper end is for deep expertise and lasting contributions. Base salary is part of a total package that includes equity, health and wellness stipends, retirement matching, and an extended health package with fully paid premiums. We also provide dedicated talent development and career growth opportunities.

We are committed to transparent conversations about compensation and are happy to discuss questions throughout the hiring process.

What you can expect from Jobber
  • A total compensation package including extended health benefits with fully paid premiums for body and mind, retirement plan matching, and stock options.
  • A dedicated Talent Development team with coaching, learning, and leadership programs to support your growth.
  • Support for all breaks, including vacation, rest, birthday off, health days, and parental leave top-ups.
  • A unique opportunity to impact a large, growing industry with no dominant player yet.
  • Work with a group of people who are humble, supportive, and care about customers.

We believe in a diverse, inclusive work environment. We are an equal opportunity employer and welcome applicants requesting accommodations at any stage of the hiring process.
