Job summary

Clio, a leading legal software platform in Burnaby, is seeking a Senior Product Designer to join our Platform team. You will craft concepts, prototypes, and hi‑fi mockups, collaborating with product management and engineering to ship valuable, user‑centered experiences.

You bring 5+ years in Product or UX design, SaaS experience, a design degree or equivalent, and excellent storytelling to articulate design decisions.

Qualifications

• 5+ years experience in Product Design or UX Design.
• SaaS experience is a bonus.
• A design degree or relevant experience with platform and/or application design.
• Excellent communication and engaging storytelling skills.
• Strong understanding of web technologies and effective IA/visual design.

Responsibilities

• Develop concepts, prototypes, hi-fidelity mockups, and present solutions.

• We are seeking a Senior Product Designer to join our growing Product Design team


• Design plays an integral role at Clio, making up one of the three pillars of our Research and Development organization alongside Product Management and Engineering


• Product designers directly engage in researching the behaviours and needs of our users


• They act as user experience champions as we work to transform the way lawyers and their staff provide services to their clients

• Our Platform team is working hard to build the critical foundational systems and features that enable all of Clio to deliver value to our customers


• We are in the process of seamlessly integrating our products so that users and their data flow through our system without friction


• This role will be part of the platform team that is responsible for unifying core experiences across all of our product surfaces


• Develop and design concepts, prototypes, hi-fidelity mockups and present solutions that solve both business and user problems and deliver measurable outcomes


• Work alongside product management and engineering to understand the right problems to solve, and find the right solutions to them


• Be able to craft a compelling vision with engaging storytelling to drive excitement and alignment for the impact the vision can deliver


• Coordinate and collaborate with multiple stakeholder teams to unify different experiences in separate products into a single cohesive one


• Be able to articulate the rationale behind your design decisions, and be able to ask difficult questions and challenge assumptions


• Coach and mentor fellow designers on a range of design practices


• Provide thoughtful feedback in team critiques


• Break down complex concepts into smaller, more manageable pieces


• Write research plans and conduct user research interviews, usability testing, and analysis


• Leverage product data and metrics to drive design decisions and measure product success
