Job summary

Glencore is seeking a Procurement Lead for Major Capital Projects to oversee procurement excellence across a portfolio of large-scale capital projects in mining and metallurgical operations, including Sudbury, Horne, CCR, and CEZinc. You will lead strategy, contract execution, supplier management and logistics to deliver $250M-$300M annually.

Two Laval/Sudbury/Rouyn-based roles are available with travel up to 15%.

Qualifications

University degree in Supply Chain or related field.
15+ years of procurement experience in mining/industrial projects.
Experience leading procurement for large capital projects and multimillion-dollar contracts.
Strong sourcing, contract management, logistics, and risk skills.
Experience with EPCM contractors and cross-functional teams.
Strong commercial and financial acumen, including capex management.
Proficiency with SAP, Coupa, and eTendering platforms.
Advanced negotiation and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

Lead Major Capital Project Procurement with strategy, governance and accountability.
Oversee end-to-end procurement, tendering, supplier evaluation and negotiations.
Manage project supply chain: purchasing, expediting, logistics and delivery.
Ensure compliance with policies and provide reporting to leadership.
Coach procurement personnel and support regional initiatives.
