Job summary

Freeport-McMoRan is seeking a Senior Process Engineer in Vancouver to lead process engineering efforts across the project lifecycle, supporting large-scale mineral processing and plant design. You will review and optimize designs, develop key deliverables such as PFDs and P&IDs, and provide technical leadership to EPCM/EPC contractors to ensure project readiness and compliance with standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemical/Metallurgical/Process Engineering with 5+ years of mineral processing experience.
• Master’s degree in the same fields with 3+ years of mineral processing experience.
• P.Eng./PE designation or eligibility preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead process engineering across project lifecycle from scoping to startup.
• Review and optimize mineral processing designs (crushing, grinding, flotation, tailings).
• Develop and validate PFDs and P&IDs, design criteria, and equipment specs.
• Provide technical leadership to EPCM/EPC contractors and align with standards.
