Summary

The Process Engineer manages the entire cement manufacturing process. This position analyzes the process and suggests ways to improve operations.

What you'll be contributing
  • Promote and follow all plant safety guidelines.
  • Analyzes the cement production process and implements changes for optimal operating conditions for fuel efficiency electrical efficiency and production rate.
  • Participates in the training of the control room operators on the proper ways of using plant equipment.
  • Works closely with shift process teams to ensure mills and pyro lines are consistently operated at peak efficiency.
  • Performs programming of the plants programmable control systems and provides maintenance documentation and improvements for computerized process systems
  • Performs performance testing and measurements on production equipment.
  • Maintains equipment performance records including wear part life history.
  • Provide technical support to the Production Department to achieve objectives of maximizing plant production of quality-controlled cement efficiently and cost-effectively.
  • Optimizes process by testing data gathering sampling and in-house expertise to provide progressive solutions and enable continual improvement in the production process.
  • Additional duties as assigned by supervisor.
To succeed in this position you will need
  • 4 year / Bachelors degree in mechanical chemical engineering or closely related field
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a mechanical chemical engineering or closely related field
  • Ability to read write and understand warning labels instructions signs etc.
  • Proficient in analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to perform organize and prioritize work independently
  • Proficient in English written verbal communication and listening skills
  • Knowledge of pyro processing thermodynamics heat transfer air flow and related principles
  • Knowledge of PLC systems and instrumentation techniques and guidelines
  • Ability to make sound independent judgments regularly
  • Ability to work from general policies and objectives
  • Ability to refer to supervisor when clarification or interpretation of organizational policy is in question
