We are seeking a Senior-Principal Resource Consultant / Consultant Senior/Principal En Ressources.
We are seeking a full-time Quebec-Based Senior/Principal Consultant to join a larger Canadian team of engineers and scientists primarily based out of four regional offices.
SRK is looking to expand our emerging presence in Quebec, with the opportunity to work remotely and/or within established SRK offices. As a Senior/Principal Resource Consultant, you will have the opportunity to join one of the largest and most experienced resource teams globally, with a diverse cross-section of structural geologists, resource geologists, geostatisticians and mining engineers.
As a Senior to Principal level Consultant, your general responsibilities will include mineral resource estimation, technical reporting and due diligence project reviews. An important aspect of working for SRK is the individual growth of your consulting skills within the broader global consulting group. SRK encourages all consultants to grow their consultancy under the broader SRK umbrella, both independently and/or part of a multi-disciplinary team. As such, the successful applicant will be expected to establish and maintain client relationships.

En tant que consultant de niveau senior à principal, vos responsabilités générales incluront l'estimation des ressources minérales, la rédaction de rapports techniques et l'examen des projets dans le cadre de la diligence raisonnable. Un aspect important du travail chez SRK est le développement individuel de vos compétences en matière de conseil au sein d'un groupe de conseil mondial plus large. SRK encourage tous les consultants à développer leurs compétences dans le cadre du groupe SRK, de manière indépendante et/ou au sein d'une équipe pluridisciplinaire. À ce titre, le candidat retenu devra établir et entretenir des relations avec les clients.
- A degree in geology or engineering
- 10+ years of applied resource estimation experience in an exploration, operational or corporate capacity
- Professional registration with Ordre des Geologues du Quebec (OGQ) or the Ordre des Ingenieurs du Quebec (IOQ)
- Sound geological understanding of ore deposits with 3D geological modeling skills
- Experience with modern implicit modelling tools is beneficial
- Strong geostatistical skills and proficiency with computerized resource estimation tools
- Ability to work independently as well as in multi-disciplinary project teams
- A high level of proficiency in both spoken and written French is necessary for this position, along with at least intermediate proficiency in both written and spoken English
- Ability to communicate in other languages in addition to French and English is viewed favorably
- Established network within the mining industry
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Some prior consulting experience is preferred
- Flexibility to travel locally and internationally
- Capacity to act as a Qualified Person or equivalent to satisfy requirements for National Instrument 43-101, JORC, SAMREC, etc.
- Diplôme en géologie ou en ingénierie

- Capacité à travailler de manière indépendante ainsi qu'au sein d'équipes de projet pluridisciplinaires.
- Un niveau élevé de maîtrise du français parlé et écrit est nécessaire pour ce poste, ainsi qu'une maîtrise au moins intermédiaire de l'anglais parlé et écrit.
- La capacité à communiquer dans d'autres langues que le français et l`anglais est considérée comme un atout.
- Réseau établi au sein de l'industrie minière
- Solides compétences en communication écrite et orale
- Une expérience préalable en consultation est préférable
- Flexibilité pour voyager localement et internationalement
- Capacité à agir en tant que personne qualifiée ou équivalent pour satisfaire aux exigences de l'instrument national 43-101, JORC, SAMREC, etc.
