Sr. Policy & Controls Manager

We are ready to take this game to the next level and need someone passionate to manage OLG’s Responsible Gambling research and policy directives to reduce player risk, mitigate gambling harm and to meet regulatory, and third-party accreditation requirements. This leadership role assists the Director, Policy & Controls is leading the development, review, and enhancement of OLG’s SG policies, accreditations, and self‑exclusion program.

YOUR ROLE IN THE GAME

Reporting to the Director Policy & Controls, you will be empowered to:

  • Lead the planning, research, development, and ongoing review of SG policies and directives across all program areas to ensure alignment with AGCO regulatory standards.
  • Develop insights and provide strategic guidance for OLG’s Self‑Exclusion program, including managing program administration and supporting continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate with iGaming Ontario, Service Providers, and other external partners to strengthen integration and consistency of self‑exclusion programs across Ontario.
  • Maintain and oversee tools and frameworks such as the Player Intervention Matrix, SG Policies library, Control Activity Matrixes, and related directives to support effective interventions and compliance.
  • Manage relationships and agreements with OLG’s off‑site Self‑Exclusion providers and support internal functions (Internal Audit, Compliance, risk assessments for new products/channels/marketing) to ensure SG controls are effective.
  • Lead accreditation processes (WLA, SG Check), support research priorities, and provide guidance and coaching to Policy & Research Managers and Senior Specialists.
WHAT YOU BRING TO THE GAME
Education & Experience
  • University degree in business management, public policy, health, or social science, with strong understanding of responsible gambling policies and trends, research methods and design, gaming industry operations, and a demonstrated high level of integrity.
  • 5–7 years of experience in a research or policy development role, along with demonstrated experience managing complex relationships.
Relevant Skills
