Job summary

Inuit Tapiriit Kanatami (ITK) seeks a Senior Policy Advisor to advance Canada’s Inuit health policy initiatives. Reporting to the Manager of the Department of Policy Advancement, you will develop, coordinate and implement policy analyses, liaise with Inuit Treaty Organizations and federal/provincial bodies, and lead designated program activities with ITK staff and stakeholders.

Responsibilities include drafting reports, coordinating work plans and budgets, and ensuring alignment with priorities

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field with 4+ years of related policy work recommended.
• Experience in policy development, reporting, and stakeholder liaison.
• Excellent written and oral communication in English; Inuktitut or French an asset.

Responsibilities

• Lead policy planning and analysis on health-related topics at the national level.
• Draft reports, position papers, and policy statements; support funder proposals.
• Coordinate program activities with Inuit regions and partners; monitor progress and budgets.
• Engage with ITK and government partners to advance policy priorities.
