A provincial workplace safety organization in Richmond seeks a Senior Policy Advisor to lead policy development and provide advice on safety regulations. Candidates should have a law degree or relevant graduate degree and at least five years of experience in interpreting policy. The position offers a hybrid work model and a salary range of $116,186 - $141,166 annually.
We're looking for a Senior Policy Advisor to develop policy and regulation, provide advice to staff and managers, and perform duties related to our statutory and legal responsibilities under the Workers Compensation Act and the Occupational Health and Safety Regulation.
In this role, you'll provide analysis, advice, and leadership to managers and staff to ensure effective implementation of WorkSafeBC's strategies, policies, regulations, practices, and services. You'll take on projects and work with subject matter experts to research, develop, and recommend policy and regulatory language to the Board of Directors to address complex issues. Focus areas of expertise may include Assessments, Rehabilitation, Compensation, Occupational Disease, Occupational Health and Safety, and Strategic Initiatives.

At WorkSafeBC, we offer a hybrid work model that combines the convenience of working remotely with the dynamism of working in one of our offices, based on the operational needs of the position. In this role, you will work primarily from our Richmond office, with some flexibility in working from your home in B.C.
