Okta in Toronto, Canada is seeking an experienced Platform Engineer to build a scalable runtime and secure-by-default infrastructure across Kubernetes, AWS, and Azure. You will collaborate with security teams and driving cross-functional initiatives for high-impact outcomes.

The role emphasizes incident response, RCAs, performance optimization, and mentoring others within a fully distributed team. Equity and bonus programs apply where applicable.

• Deep technical expertise in Golang, Terraform, Kubernetes, and major cloud providers (AWS/Azure) to build complex, modular infrastructure.

The Auth0 platform secures more than 100 million logins each day for customers all around the world. The Platform Infrastructure team enables Auth0 engineers to move faster by giving them tools to easily deploy and manage their services on AWS and Azure. This is a role within a team that has a huge impact. You will:

• Develop and maintain a scalable platform runtime using infrastructure-as-code, enabling teams to seamlessly deploy and manage services across Kubernetes, AWS, and Azure.
• Tackle highly ambiguous requirements to architect scalable, resilient infrastructure solutions for cross-cutting concerns (e.g., service discovery, routing), while setting platform best practices.
• Proactively identify performance bottlenecks and advocate for new technologies to optimize platform resiliency, scale, and cost.
• Use observability tools like DataDog and Prometheus to design SLIs and enforce platform SLOs.
• Design secure-by-default infrastructure and collaborate with security teams to ensure compliance.
• Drive and lead complex, cross-functional initiatives end-to-end, aligning multiple teams around technical strategies and ensuring successful delivery.
• Act as a technical leader within the team, actively mentoring and elevating the skills of junior and mid-level engineers.
• Use company-approved AI tools for software engineering, operations, research, and analysis.
• Participate in the team's on-call rotation.

Below is the annual salary range for candidates located in Canada. Your actual salary will depend on factors such as your skills, qualifications, and experience. The annual base salary range for this position for candidates located in Canada is between:: $136,000 CAD - $187,000 CAD
