Job summary

Sun Pharmaceuticals Industries, Inc. in Brampton, Ontario, is seeking a Site Supply Planner to develop and execute supply plans for finished goods and API sourcing, balancing demand, inventory, and capacity using Kinaxis and SAP.

You will coordinate with Procurement, Manufacturing, QA/QC, and affiliates to ensure uninterrupted product supply. The role leads monthly S&OP, manages MPS, monitors KPIs, and delivers analytics through Excel, Power BI, and Tableau.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, Operations, Life Sciences, or related field is required.
  • 5+ years of experience in Supply Planning, Production Planning, Inventory Management, or Materials Planning within a manufacturing environment is required (pharmaceutical experience preferred).
  • Strong experience with SAP and advanced planning tools (Kinaxis preferred).
  • Advanced Excel skills and experience with reporting and data analytics tools.
  • APICS/ASCM certification (CPIM, CSCP) preferred.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities. Process improvement mindset with ability to enhance productivity and reduce non-value-added work.
  • To be able to work with IT department to create logical reports
  • Well understanding supply chain process and activities, including manufacturing, inventory, procurement, warehousing.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain short- and medium-term supply plans for Finished Goods and affiliate-sourced APIs using Kinaxis and SAP.
  • Create and manage the Master Production Schedule (MPS), ensuring alignment with demand forecasts, inventory targets, and manufacturing capacity.
  • Monitor inventory levels, safety stock, and days of supply to ensure service level targets are achieved while minimizing excess and obsolete inventory.
  • Ensure timely material availability by generating and managing Purchase Requisitions (PRs) with the correct quantities and timing requirements for packaging and raw materials.
  • Analyze capacity constraints, material shortages, and supply risks, and drive mitigation plans to support uninterrupted production.
  • Collaborate closely with Procurement, Manufacturing, Warehouse, QA/QC, and affiliate sites to support plan execution and supply continuity.
  • Lead supply planning activities within monthly S&OP processes and support executive supply reviews.
  • Monitor and report key planning KPIs, including Demand vs. Commit vs. Supply, Inventory Performance, Backorders, and Capacity Utilization.
  • Develop reporting and business insights using SAP, Kinaxis, Excel, Power BI, Tableau, or similar analytics tools.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives that enhance planning effectiveness, inventory optimization, and supply chain performance.

Job purpose

The Site Supply Planner is responsible for developing and executing supply plans for Finished Goods and affiliate-supplied APIs to ensure optimal inventory levels, capacity utilization, and uninterrupted product supply. This role serves as the key link between Demand Planning, Manufacturing, Procurement, Quality, and Operations, leveraging Kinaxis and SAP to balance demand, supply, inventory, and capacity requirements while meeting customer commitments and business objectives.

Duties and responsibilities

Report any adverse event received from customers for company products to the pharmacovigilance department / Drug Safety on the same day or within 1 business day

Qualifications

The presently-anticipated base compensation pay range for this position is $69,000 to $86,500. Actual base compensation may vary based on a number of factors, including but not limited to geographical location and experience. In addition, this position is part of the Annual Performance Bonus Plan. Employees are eligible to participate in Company employee benefit programs which include medical, dental and vision coverage; life insurance; RRSP savings plan; and the employee assistance program. Employees also receive various paid time off benefits, including vacation time and sick time.
